Information on data protection.

We welcome you to our website and we thank you for your interest in our company. In order to give you a good feeling as regards how your personal data is being processed, we would like to explain how we collect and how we handle your data and which safety measures are taken to protect your personal data.

Personal data.

As a rule, we do not require any personal data from you when you visit our website. We merely acknowledge information about the name of your internet service provider and the pages you call. You as a user remain anonymous, as we only use this information for statistical purposes (e. g. number of calls on our webpages). Please read our information on ‘Webtrekk’ for further details.

Please note that, whenever you call a page, data is / can be transmitted unencrypted, and therefore, we cannot exclude the possibility that unauthorized third parties may access such data during transmission. It is also important to know that you can alternatively call https:// to allow for encrypted transmission (SSL 128 Bit). Moreover, you may use other communication channels which are safer than e-mail.

More or personal data such as company, industry, billing or delivery / address details or the name of the manager, contact person for purchasing and the like are generally only collected and used if you provide this information as part of an order or catalogue or newsletter subscription.

Purpose limitation and consent.

We will only collect, process and use personal data acquired from you in the course of using our websites within the scope of given / underlying purposes. We will make sure that this only happens within the scope of current data protection laws and / or only with your consent. Consent-based personal information we obtained from you will only be collected, processed and used within the context and limit of the specific consent you provided. You are of course free to withdraw your consent and opt-out at any time, you can either e-mail us at adm.gaildorf@bechtle.de or write to: Bechtle address management, Bechtle-Allee 1, 74405 Gaildorf. Please note that personal data may (partially) be further processed by law, for example for law / debt enforcement.

Marketing and reserach, web form information.

Our website offers various possibilities (forms) for data entry, be it for contacts or enquiries. Depending on the desired service (requests for catalogs, newsletters or support via remote, etc.), different data will be transmitted and processed.

Data you provided when ordering our free newsletter or catalogs will be stored in our system and used for supplying you with product, event and other information with respect to your preferred communication channel.

Bechtle uses data for advertising and market research on the basis of both, consent / opt-in (permission marketing) and existing laws (German so-called ‘Listenprivileg’). We do not send personalized advertising to private customers / individuals; instead, we send personalized mail which concerns the professional activity:

Our business model requires that we only turn to business customers, and we typically contact IT- and purchasing departments / representatives. We use a centralized address management system which all our affiliates can access and use. We do not display, share or sell any personal data we use for advertising purposes with any third parties outside the Bechtle group.

Whenever service providers are used in connection with the execution of advertising / marketing activities, and independent of whether an external service provider or a company-owned corporate entity is used, appropriate data processing agreements will be used as (legally necessary) basis for such activities.

In the event that you no longer agree with the use of your data for marketing purposes, you are of course free to withdraw your consent at any time, you can either e-mail us at adm.gaildorf@bechtle.de or write to: Bechtle address management, Bechtle-Allee 1, 74405 Gaildorf. Please note that personal data may (partially) be further processed by law, for example for law / debt enforcement.

Utilization and disclosure of data.

Your data will be regularly (predominantly) used for the purpose of processing orders and payments. Bechtle, as virtually all companies, cooperates with various service providers that are in charge of processing orders and other activities in the context of (potential) customer requests and support activities.

Internal and external service providers inside and outside the network of Bechtle-companies are concerned with accounting and they receive our customers’ address, contract, payment and sales information, as well as usage data which are needed in the event that (IT-)support is requested. Therefore, your data will be given to respective departments / partners who deal with orders and invoices as well as catalog or newsletter requests.

Data will be deleted upon expiration of legal, statutory or contractual retention periods, and we will also delete data if and when underlying purposes of data collection, processing and storage no longer apply. Please note that we may be obliged to provide / disclose information including personal data to public authorities in the event that specific (preferential) legal provisions require us to do so.
